Priscila Byrnes was born on August 5th, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At a very early age she started to be interested in music and listen to rock bands such as Queen, Scorpions, and The Beatles. At the age of 16, she started taking singing lessons and later on she began to take part in different Hard Rock bands covering songs from Kiss, Firehouse, Skid Row, L.A. Guns and Dokken. Then she decided to enter the Conservatory of Music where she studied lyrical singing for some years
On August, 2010 Priscila and her band Mussurien participated in a contest, organized by the record label DontPayMusic to be part of the CD Memento (Ronnie James Dio’s Tribute). They sent their version of the song Caught in the Middle, which competed among 80 bands from different countries, and they managed to be one of the 10 selected to be part of the CD. On April 11th, 2011 her first EP Run For Cover was released by the record label DontPayMusic, which includes 5 covers from Rainbow, Scorpions, Bruce Dickinson, Skid Row, apart from the song Caught in the Middle, which participated in the contest organized by DontPayMusic. This EP was produced by Jorge Perini (ex-Jeriko, Barilari, Imperio) in collaboration with Juan Pablo Kilberg (Magika, Renacer, Blackener) on guitars, Eduardo Palange (Drei) on bass and the special participation of Niko Takara (ex-Simbiosis, Arraigo, Heinkel) on guitars and bass exclusively for the song Caught in the Middle.
Since the release of Run For Cover many of the songs included in that EP were broadcast by different local radios, and it has received excellent remarks by the Argentinian journalist Cesar Fuentes Rodriguez and it has been mentioned by two Brazilian websites. After Run For Cover, Priscila released a Single called Last Try which includes two original songs and a reversion of one of them in Spanish. The songs were produced and played by the guitarist Juan Jose Fornes (Skiltron, Magika, Sélidor, Triddana).
In 2012 and 2013, Priscila Byrnes and Gustavo Arroyo (her current guitarist) tried hard to go on showing their music in different pubs, bars and radios from Buenos Aires City. However, it was in 2014 when Priscila and her band had the possibility to go out of Buenos Aires to show their music. The music producer Metalworks invited them to make a two-city tour to San Juan and Mendoza (Argentina), where they were received warmly by the local audience.
Nowadays, Priscila Byrnes is working with the guitarist Gustavo Arroyo on the production and composition of new material and rehearsing for the shows of the current year. The members of her band are: Gustavo Arroyo on guitar, Gabriel Lorenzani on bass and Leonardo Aldunate on drums.
